Pierfranco Baldi lives and works in Costigliole d’Asti, his native country. After completing his studies in viticulture and oenology working in the family-run farm. In 1985 he decides to lead the company independently, requiring a change to the management of the vineyard and the cellar.
So was born BALDI PIERFRANCO farm. The vineyards of the property, about 12 hectares, are located on widely sunny hills.
Here are cultivated Barbera, Moscato, Chardonnay, Dolcetto, Grignolino and Arneis grapes.
To obtain the desired quality are used the most rigorous viticultural techniques, sacrificing part of the production with careful thinning operations and selecting the grapes during harvest.
In the cellar, they are gets usually oenological procedures which control the temperature of fermentation and careful analysis during the delicate process to enhance the characteristics of each wine. The refinements are made according to traditional and ancient methods, resting the wine in barrels of Slavonian oak large capacity or in French oak barrels.
