As it is true that in wine there is the truth
I’il tell you everything, no secrets.
– William Shakespeare
Montecariano winery is located in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica, an ancient land as much as the Roman artefacts found during the agricultural work carried out to give light to new vineyards.
Mariella Gini owns the Montecariano farm together with her sons Matteo and Marco since 1992.
Their vineyards extend over hills facing south, on calcareous/earthy soils and from quaternary alluvions, rich in organic components.
Together they have always been committed to the preservation of their environment, thus preserving also some varieties of native vine such as Pelara, Oseleta, Molinara, Teroldego, Croatina alongside the traditional ones, Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, because they firmly believe that the product should represent the memory of its territory.
