BARBERA D’ASTI D.O.C.G. SUPERIORE “NOTTURNO”

It’s a wine of great prestige obtained by the fermentation of Barbera d’Asti grapes, carefully selected, with a maximum yield of 50 ql. Ha. It’s vinified and kept in stainless steel tanks for the first six months, then it is transferred into large oak barrels, where it matures for at least one year. It’s ready for consumption after further aging of about six months in bottle. This is a wine of remarkable features, which bottled, further improves thereafter.

It gets aromas of plum, black cherry, smoke and blueberry.

“For me, this is a very special wine: the intensity from both olfactory and taste point of view is truly extraordinary: it manages to be traditional, true, and extremely complex yet, atypical thanks to its full body … the fruit emerges together in net balsamic and spicy scents, herbs, licorice, pepper, leather and tobacco. Elegant and discreet, it shows the great capacity of the producers in the use of a wood that is a valid but not intrusive employee.

For those who have patience and perseverance to keep a few bottles, further improves after evolution given by time.”
